- Ohio Commission to Reform Medicaid
Ohio's budget bill (House Bill 95) called for the creation of the commission to evaluate the Medicaid program and make recommendations to Governor Bob Taft, the Speaker of the House, and the Senate President about reform and cost containment initiatives by January, 2005. The legislative charge for the nine-member commission is challenging in both scope and scale. The increasing financial pressure the Medicaid system is placing on the state budget makes this study imperative.
